Mental Health Week

This week we will be thinking about what makes us happy, why we are special, what we are good at and many more themes. Our PSHE Zoom lesson this week will focus on 'What makes you happy?' and I would love you to bring it, wear it or talk about it in the lesson!

Please choose a different activity each day from our poster on the main page to complete with your family and share it on DB primary.

We will continue with your excellent storyboards and planning your own animal stories next week.

Monday- How are you? Did you have a good weekend?

Daily zoom lessons from 9-10am. Please complete the tasks from the lesson and upload your work onto your blog on DB Primary.

For extra practise please visit -

What makes you happy?

Please talk to your adult about what makes you happy, it could be a pet, a teddy, a princess/superhero costume or even a person. It can be anything you want!

Why does it make you happy? How does it make you feel? Please draw a picture of it and write a sentence telling me what it is and why it makes you feel happy.

Please say your sentence to your adult first so that they can help you to remember it, the say the first word and slowly sound out each letter to write them in sequence. Then start on the next word, please support your child to have a go writing the sounds that they can hear.

It is ok if it isn’t spelt correctly or if they only write the first and the last sound, please just write underneath the word what they wanted it to say when they have completed their sentence.

For our PE lessons we will use a variety of different materials focusing on all of the EYFS and Year 1 PE curriculum expectations.

Reception and Year 1- Today you have a live PE lesson with KAS and teacher Aaron at 13.30-14.10.

Maths - Please watch the video on 'Counting and ordering numbers' and complete the follow-up activity.
