English
‘The boy, the mole, the fox and the horse.’ Think about the animals in our story of ‘the boy, the mole, the fox and the horse’ they are all different. How are they different?- Discuss this with your adult.
This week you are going to continue to think about your favourite animals. But now I would like you to choose two more animals. I would like you to draw a picture of your animals together, write labels and discuss their personalities, character and how they are different from each other.
What do they like?
What don’t they like?
What do they look like?
Are they big or small?
Compare them to the other animals that you have chosen. Would they normally get along in the wild/zoo/home? Why/why not?
Maths
Please watch the video on 'Sorting 3D shapes' and complete the follow-up maths activity.
Parents, please note:
I have assigned the children some courses on mathletics (an online maths program). The children should be able to complete the activities independently (hopefully, giving you the opportunity to carry out some of your jobs and commitments at home!) . The courses focus on practicing previously learnt skills (some activities may be easier than they are used to). The courses I have chosen cover some of the areas that the children have been taught in class and include the topics: Number and shape. Please also note that these activities are optional and can be completed across the week, next week I will assign new tasks. Please email me if you do not have or have forgotten your child's log in details.
