Remote Learning During School Closure

Welcome to Beech Class Home Learning

It is important that you stay healthy, keep learning and have fun!

For Summer 2, the daily activities and learning will be set out in a Daily Home Learning Plan.  This I hope with give you some structure to a weekday to benefit you and your child.  You do not need to complete everything on the plan and timings/order should suit you and your child.  Where possible, I would like you to focus on Mathematics, Writing and Reading.  Beech Class will be part of a Federation wide Geography project.  Each class will choose a country from around the world and present their learning in a booklet.  Year 3 will be learning about Greece!  We will become Explorers and learn amazing facts about the country.  There are lots of ideas and extra activities on the various subject pages.

Beech Class will be able to contact me via email or DB Primary to share their learning and ask questions that help them understand or clarify their work.  I will respond to emails regarding teaching and learning during normal school hours.  This will include feedback and progress when learning remotely.

Children have been given a green book which they should record their learning in.  This can be used for all subjects.  Some learning will be practical, so I hope you will take photos and share them with me.  Learnings tasks will include plenty of offline activities, flexibility and choice as well.

It is important that you remain safe when learning online.  For information please view the Federation's homepage, under key information and safeguarding.   I have also included some e-safety information and tasks on DB Primary.

We will be learning remotely, but we are still Beech Class and part of the wider school community.  It will be different but I hope we will continue to enjoy learning and have fun as if we were in the classroom.smiley
