Today, we started our Anglo-Saxon topic. We had fun learning about who invaded Britain and how they came to settle. The children looked at a range of artefacts from the Anglo-Saxon period. These included runes, burial pots, clothing and brooches.

World Book Day

Spring is in the air!  Beech class as part of their science topic, have been learning about the parts of a plant.  To do this we dissected daffodils, which was great fun.  

The children enjoyed a music lesson, learning how to play the drums.

As part of our Roman topic, the children made Roman aqueducts.  We tested them with water to establish how they worked and why the engineering of them was so important.

Beech class have been learning about the Human Skeleton as part of our science topic, Amazing Bodies.

Their task was to draw a skeleton and label the bones.  We learnt that the skeleton has three functions: movement, protection and support.
