World Book Day - Thursday 4th March
Today is World Book Day. On this day in school we would be thinking about and celebrating books and we would be endeavouring to develop a love and enthusiasm for reading books. Today, I have included some of the activities we would be doing in school. Please pick and choose the ones that interests your child (you do not have to do everything). I have asked (if possible) for some activities to be sent into class on the 8th March to create a wonderful 'World Book Day' display. Thank you, as ever, for your support. Mrs Nicholson
Can you either dress up as a character or make a prop from a book of your choice. This can be as small or as big as you like, e.g. you could make a wand for the witch from 'The room on the broom' or an alien hat and be one of the aliens from 'Aliens love underpants!', You could make some of the fruit from 'The Hungry Caterpillar' using play dough or by junk modelling. Here are a few other suggestions below too. I will be creating a 'World Book Day' display in the classroom; please ask someone to take a photo of you in your costume or holding your prop.
