Owls – Years 4, 5 and 6

Welcome to Owl Class!

We are the school's mixed Years 4, 5 and 6 class.

Owl Class is taught by Mr Strong and we are supported by Mrs Gleeson, Mrs Owen, Mrs Stedman and Mrs Peer.

We are a kind, considerate and hardworking class with a calm and encouraging ethos as we believe there is no end to learning and everyone can fulfil their potential. We celebrate success and we always seek to make ourselves even better learners than we already are.

As the oldest pupils at St Mary’s, we seek to be good role models to others in the school community, as well as taking on a range of responsibilities. We take opportunities to study topics of interest, making cross curricular links where appropriate in order to connect our learning with the world around us. Transition is often on our mind, as we look to the future, but we always make the most of every chance we are given.

Watch this space for news of the exciting things we'll be getting up to over the next half term!

End of year Performance - 'A Midsummer Night's Dream'

Our history topic this term has been The Tudors, and in English we had a look at some of the works of the most famous Tudor playwright, William Shakespeare.

We watched and studied 'A Midsummer Night's Dream' and our musical play is based on the BBC Version. See the link below for more information about songs:

28th September

The Year 5 and 6 girls played in a football festival at St. Mary’s Primary School in Stansted Mountfitchet.

They trained in small groups and developed skills in passing, dribbling and shooting before playing in a fun round-robin tournament.
