Homework

Every Wednesday, homework for the class will be set in your child’s homework book.  In the morning, I will go through the homework set with your child, so they understand what they need to complete. 

Homework will be due the following Tuesday.

Homework will focus on three main areas:

• English: Grammar, Punctuation and Spelling
• Reading
• Maths
• Spelling Frame: Weekly Y6 spellings to learn: spelling test Fridays.

These are 10-minute weekly worksheets that will help your child practice key skills. 

It is important that your child completes the homework every week.  If your child is unable to complete homework at home or would like extra support, then they are very welcome to join the Y6 Homework Club, which I will run weekly at lunchtime. 

The class has agreed the club will be on Monday lunchtime.
