Success Criteria:

 

SC1) I make careful observations;

SC2) I record my observations so that I can clearly communicate them with others;

SC3) I make hypotheses to explain phenomena;

SC4) I describe how light travels

 

Differentiation:

 

The video has suggestions for how to extend yourself for Trickier and Trickiest.

 

Tasks:

 

1) Watch my video lesson.

2) Explore the behaviour of light by closely observing a straw in water.

3) Record your observations in detail.

4) Make a hypothesis (or several hypotheses) to explain what you see. Your hypothesis does not have to be correct.

5) Look for similar effects in the world in general.
