L.O. to summarise a text

 

1) Read through the Blitz text used for Task 1 (which can be found here).

 

2) Write a summary of the text. Choose the key points from each paragraph and rewrite them using fewer sentences. Consider what information is vital, which information can be left out, and how to write longer sentences in shorter forms without losing vital points.

 

3) Generate a list of questions that you think an interested reader might ask when reading through the original text.

 

4) Extension - optional - Begin to answer those questions as if you were the writer of the original text.
