L.O. to calculate properties of circles
L.O. to name parts of a circle
L.O. to calculate properties of circles
Please note that these tasks are not split into 'Tricky' and 'Trickier' (though there is a 'Trickiest'). They are still differentiated as they each questions of several levels of difficulty.
L.O. to name parts of a circle
AA.16 Parts of a circle
For this task you will learn to identify the centre, radius, diameter and chord of a circle. You will also learn how to recognise the way lines are referred to.
L.O. to calculate properties of a circle
AA.17 Central angles of a circle
This task relates to angles rather than area and perimeter. However, I have placed it here to go alongside learning about circles.
EE.6 Radius, diameter, circumference and area of a circle
For this task you will calculate radius, diameter, circumference and area. Some of this goes beyond what is required in Year 6, but the earlier questions will be relevant.
Trickiest
EE.10 Area between two circles
Please only attempt Trickiest if you have completed all the other tasks first.
